12-09-2006 VC RamCleaner 1.00 program ----------------------------------------- 1 - Installation 2 - Upgrade 3 - Uninstall 4 - What the Program Does 5 - What’s New on this version? 6 - Wish List 7 - Support and Contact 1 - Installation ================= a) Unzip the zipped file into a temporary directory and run VCRamCleanerSetup.exe to begin the installation. b) The program can be installed anywhere including network and removable drives. Note: you might need to update your current operating system during the installation. Allow it to be updated and then restart your computer. c) Upgrade from previous version. Please read 2 - Upgrade 2 - Upgrade =========== a) The package installation is exactly the same one for first time installation and upgrade. b) VC RamCleaner program Problem during install: While installing VC RamCleaner, the setup may say that the VC RamCleaner.exe file is in use. To solve the problem, get out of the setup - restart the computer and run the setup again. c) Install the upgrade in the EXACTLY same place you have your current VC RamCleaner program. The upgrade module will detect your old version and all you have to do is follow the instructions. 3 - Uninstall ============= a) If you would like to remove the VC RamCleaner program from your computer, simply make use of the standard Windows Add/Remove as follows: Click on your START button. Select SETTINGS. Select CONTROL PANEL. Choose ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS and select VC RamCleaner. Then click on the ADD/REMOVE or CHANGE/REMOVE button. b) Or you click the uninstall shortcut next to the VC RamCleaner shortcut. 4 - What can VC RamCleaner do? ============================ *VC RamCleaner is a simple Memory cleaner. *There are times when programs do not release the memory they used, making the machine became short of the memory, but you don’t want to restart the system to get the used memory back. This is where you use VC RamCleaner to clean your memory, so you can carry on working without wasting time restarting your System. *You can click the [Clean System Memory] button to start cleaning and repeating the same operation until you have all the memory free. *You can use [Set Clean System Memory] to [Activate], or [Deactivate], the Auto Clean with two options, [Standard Passes] and [Passes Until Zero]. *The [Standard Passes] option will do a number of chosen passes but will NOT force to release all unused memory. *Enter new Tips into existing or new Groups (You choose the name of the Group and select a picture to represent that Group or the default picture will be used). *The [Passes Until Zero] option will do a number of chosen passes but will FORCE each pass to release ALL memory until found 0 (Zero) byte of wasted memory. *There are more self explanatory features in the program, that are not listed here. *VC RamCleaner will run on Windows 2000 and Windows XP. 5 - What’s New on this version? =============================== This is the first public release 6 - Wish List ============= Anything that you would like to see in the VC RamCleaner program will be kept on a list and I will work through it in a particular order.
